Teaching

Hello. My name is McLean Whitt and I am currently an MTSU student majoring in Interdisciplinary Studies and focusing on K-6. I am from Fayetteville, TN and graduated from Lincoln County High School. I look forward to graduating and getting a job somewhere here in Rutherford County. I would love nothing more than to teach 4th grade. I feel that as I have worked with children I connect more with that age group. I work for the YMCA at Blackman Elementary and I work with the Kindergarteners and first graders. They are fun to work with in an afterschool program, but I can not see myself teaching them. I feel that 4th graders are ready to learn and mature enough to have a good time in the classroom. I pray that I will be able to teach them in a way that they will understand, and have them work with technology so that they will have a good time while learning.
